Hello everyone!

It has been a while. I was hoping that I could make the site start up again by it's 1st birthday, but that didn't work out.  Sorry for that.

We're moving! Instead of revamping the whole site, we are moving to a new one, this time on proboards. (I apologize in advance if you are trying to read a thread you participated in but found that it has been deleted) The new site is still under development. So, if you are interested and want to get more information on the site like the progress on that, just send a pm to me.

If you are looking for a thread or any threads had been deleted, just send me a pm as well.

RWBY ROLEPLAY
CHARACTER SHEET

Full Name: Professor Jackson Sullivan
Nickname: Sully, Jack, Detective (used by those who knew him from those days) Jack "the Warden" Sullivan (from his Hunter days)
Age: 53
Birthday: June 3rd
Race: Human
Aura: Supplementary
Aura Color: Black
Semblance:
Cordon:

Physical:
appearance:

Standing tall at 6'2" Jack is a vision of a possible future for any up-and-coming hunter or huntress. His short, thinning hair was black, but is now more of a salt-and-pepper color, though its more salt than pepper. Despite his age, Jack is quite fit. He needs to be to keep up the young dynamos he calls students. His training as both a hunter and as a peacekeeper helped with that. But the training wasn't the only relic from his past he kept around. The suit he wears and the 'medals' that adorn his coat and tie are remainders of his time in the precinct. Most of those badges of honor make their home in his coat, now tattered for its time and trouble. His tie is loose around his neck, which he plays with in times of stress. As he has given up smoking, he can almost always be found with a lollipop in his mouth. The stick hanging from his lips fills the place where he'd normally hang a cigarette while he talks.

Weapon:
McGraw 12.7 Heavy Revolver:

Fighting Style: Fighting isn't his thing anymore. It hasn't been for nearly 10 years. In his detective days, he blended his hunter fighting skills with mostly non-lethal tactics taught in the police force. With or without a weapon, Jack Sullivan was more than capable of bringing down a target
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black, but greying.
Height: 6'2”
Weight: 174 lbs.

Personality: The years haven't been kind to poor Jack's attitude and outlook. A veteran hunter and detective, the professor sees the world in a darker shade of gray. His original calm yet upbeat personality has rusted and eroded into a cynical shadow of its former self. Thanks to his years on the force, he sees himself as a realist, though current and former colleagues might argue he's a pessimist in denial. But no matter how he views the world, he never can escape when duty calls; especially when duty takes the form of a lady in need.

Jack takes his work as an educator seriously. He doesn't allow for harsh language in his classes, though he sometimes slips a word himself on accident. Most of his time is dedicated to teach his students how to pick up the trail of Grimm and how to identify the creature by clues left at the scene of an attack. His class is called "Grimm Forensics."

Goals: Be a respectable educator.
Quit smoking
Fears: -His past endangering his students.
-Suffers from paranoia. Believes there is someone out to hurt him or the people closest to him.
-Has Coulrophobia: Fear of clowns. Don't ask.

Bad Habits:
-Always has a sucker in his mouth as he is trying to give up smoking. Occasionally, he cheats and smokes a cigarette when he is very stressed.
-Absentmindedly plays with his tie.

Likes:
-Sweets: Namely, Lollipops and suckers. In a vain attempt to prolong his life and watch the sun set while he can, Sullivan gave up smoking.
-Smooth Jazz: The dulcet, melancholy sounds seem to make his troubles melt away for just a little while.
-'Irish' Coffee. Can't start his day without a cup.

Dislikes:
-Crying women or children: It reminds him of worse times.
-People tampering with his belongings
-Clowns.

Parents: Mother: Mary-Anne Sullivan (deceased) Father: Rodger Sullivan(deceased(
Siblings: Brother: John Sullivan (deceased)

History: Professor Jackson Elijah Sullivan was born and raised in the center of the City of Vale. His father was a hard-working man, working the shipyards and doing whatever it take the bring home the proverbial bacon. His mother was an independent and strong lady, choosing to work abroad as a Huntress. Jack and his older brother, John, had his father's looks, but had their mother's ferocious passion. He took to following in his mother's footsteps and began studying to be a hunter while his brother joined up with the police. If there was anything Jack had that his brother didn't it was patience. Both of them sought the same thing though, to bring their city into the shining light of tomorrow. As things stood, the city they grew up in and loved was beset upon by lowlifes and crooks. The brothers decided that they would clean up the town, so it would match their ideals for the world.

Years went by and the brothers' dream began to fade. Both were too caught up in the world of their respective fields. With amazing prowess, Jack quickly became a famous hunter, quick, powerful, and more than a match for a Grimm in one on one. His brother became a prominent police captain and was put in charge of the station near the brothers' childhood home.

The brothers were on good terms with each other for several more years. During that time, Jack began to train new hunters fresh out of the Academy about certain tricks he'd picked up in his time in the field. That was when he met a young Adalinda Crimsontongue. She was still very new to hunter scene and had even graduated early. The girl was smart and tough, but that didn't make up for years of experience. Jack took her under his wing for countless missions until one day she received a job far off. It wasn't long after Adalinda left that the Sullivan brothers' worlds would come crashing down.

It all started with a phone call. Specifically one from Jack's mother, now long retired from hunting. Apparently there had been some kind of break-in at their parents' house and their father, not willing to give up anything he'd earned in his hard life, had been shot when he surprised the thief. Jack was numb the entire trip down there. He couldn't understand why. Why would people, the people he'd been protecting by hunting down Grimm, do this? What was the point? Jack didn't have the answer, so he did all he thought he could do: blame his brother.

He was now the commissioner of the entire precinct and yet this happened to their father. You'd think that title would have meant something, but no. Jack screamed and fumed at John for an hour, berating him for his lax police work. John just stood there and took it. It wasn't like there was much he could say to calm the younger sibling down. Eventually Jack stormed off to wallow in his anger and grief at the bottom of a bottle.

It wasn't a year later that their mother, the retired huntress, passed on from heartbreak and plain old age. Her funeral was the first time the brothers had talked since their father died. The meeting was brief, tense, and made nothing better. John looked pale and tired. Jack knew that he must not have been sleeping well for a while now, and he couldn't help but feel it was his fault. John told his brother that he was personally looking into why nothing came of the break-in. He felt he was close to an answer and it was big. He asked Jack for advice, but the hunter didn't know what to think of the situation. He was always a hunter of monsters, not men, and he told his brother this. John only replied "And the worst type of monsters out there live in this city."

Jack never saw his brother alive again. The commissioner was shot dead in his home, just a few months later. Whatever he had been on, it had been aware of him. That was when Jack Sullivan, the hunter, decided to become Jack Sullivan, the cop. With his Hunter training, Sullivan was practically given the badge the instant he walked in the door. He was made a detective and assigned to work with several departments such as homicide, missing persons, organized crime, and robbery. Maybe it was a family trait, but Jack found he excelled in criminal justice. While he wasn't showered in fame like he was as a hunter, he felt more gratification from truly and directly helping the city. Detective work seemed to be his place and he worked there for the next 10 years.

He was 44 when the world turned its back on him once more. He was on a homicide. A faunus was found behind a warehouse belonging to a prominent foreign figure. The kid looked barely old enough to drink and had more holes in him than a cheese grater. Working with him on the case were two other veterans of the force. They established that the culprits were out-of-towners and that the evidence pointed to it being a spur of the moment killing. Before they could fully lock onto the trail of the people behind the murder, a call came in from their supervisor. They were all pulled off the case and a new team was to handle the case.

Officially, the murder was ruled as gang-related, specifically between as an anti-faunus hate group and a gang off-shoot of the notorious White Fang. Personally, Jack couldn't believe it. The murder didn't look deliberate enough. On his own time, he began to snoop around the case file. There were several things that didn't add up. Eventually he came to the conclusion that someone higher up on the food chain must have ties to the case and buried it in a convenient scapegoat. Jack didn't like that one bit. It was a slap in the face of what he and his brother worked for their entire lives.

Getting to the bottom of this case was the worst mistake he'd ever made for his career. A number of his colleagues and superiors took notice and began to show their claws. Detective Sullivan started to be pulled from cases just to be given the worst jobs only given to rookies and uniformed officers. The only times he was ever called in specifically was when dealing with suspects that were too much for non-Hunters to handle, though those cases seemed to be getting less and less frequent. Within that year, Jack received word that he was to be retired as he was approaching his 45th birthday and refused to take a desk job.

He felt like someone had shot him in the heart. Everything his family had worked for- the better future for this city- had been ripped out of his grasp and tossed into the sea. There was nothing left for him. No longer a hunter... no longer a detective. All there was for him now was a cold apartment and the bottom of a whiskey glass.

The poor old man spent three years there. The bars knew him by name at that point. That's when he met Lyon. Jack didn't know whether it was the alcohol, the haze of the cigarette smoke, or just the guy in front of him, but the former hunter never once realized just who this guy was. He asked Jack a lot of questions. All of which the ex-detective answered with enough venom in his words to bring down an fully grown Death Stalker. The man just laughed it off as bravado. Despite the drunken insults, Lyon gave Sullivan a card and told him that he had a position that only he could fill. Drunk or sober, Sullivan stared at the card for weeks before finally calling.

Before he knew it, people began calling the relic 'Professor' Sullivan. Of the esteemed Beacon Academy, his alma mater, no less! It was strange; like it was all just a dream. He was given classes to teach. Some, like his 'Grimm Forensics' class, he excelled at. While others, like the completely out of left field Cooking class, he just seemed to be permanently stuck with. Eight years just seemed to fly by quickly.

He still kept in contact with some of his loyal friends on the force, keeping him informed as to the goings-on in the precinct. It was through them he got back in contact with an old Hunting partner of his: a woman named Adalinda. She informed him about how things were in her neck of the world. The crime family that had bought her services and the innocent girl that needed the academy's formal training. She asked for his help in getting her in and keeping her safe from her own family. The girl's name was Sylphe Auraia. Jack agreed that the school was the safest place for the girl and he promised to even keep an eye on her while she was there. He handled all the necessary paperwork to push the girl's entrance forms through into the fast lane. Before she went silent again, Adalinda made Jack promise to keep silent about his role in her entrance beyond being a former partner to Adalinda. He didn't like telling half-truths, but he agreed. It was frivolous knowledge that would do more harm than good for Sylphe's academic health.

The year was about to start and Professor Jack 'the Warden' Sullivan was to watch a new group of promising Hunters begin their first steps into a much darker world.
