The Rules(Please see first)

Respect everyone Respect everyone in this site. We want to welcome everyone and show that we can be a friendly community. Also, we're here to have fun, not make enemies. So just try to get along with each other. If you have felt that someone has disrespected you, feel free to message a staff member about it so we can help manage the problem.

No idea is dumb Do not say something is dumb just because you feel it does not satisfy what you are looking for. It is disrespectful and may offend a person, or make them feel like their ideas are not welcomed. We want everyone to feel like they can speak out, but we also do not want people to degrade other people, and their thoughts.

One character per account Yes, one character per account. While a bit tedious to switch between accounts, better than to be bogged down by multiple characters on a single account. It adds a level of intimacy between you and your character.

Keep things PG-13 Most likely, there will be people who cannot handle rated "R" material. In order to follow the first rule, and respect them, it is better to just keep things PG-13. However, nudity is allowed, no pictures, but do not be overly descriptive. Sex: this a no-no. While it is a topic that is generally brought up, it cannot be roleplayed. However, you do have two options: Option one, use a fade away to the next morning - You aren't roleplaying it per se, rather you are just implying; Option two, take it to the PM - If you really have the burning need to roleplay it out, take it somewhere private.

Swearing is allowed, but do try not to abuse it. A little bit of cursing at the right situations could provide insight into a character's personality, but too much is just excessive. Sometimes, swearing could make a person feel uncomfortable, and we would not want that.

Advertise in the advertisement section You may only advertise in the advertisement section. It helps keeps things more organized and you may be harassing people and making them feel uncomfortable.

Respect the staff The staff works hard to get you ready to rp and to help you along the way. However, we're human too - we don't like being yelled at for being helpful, trying our best to help you, or trying to have a life outside of the site. Most likely, if you disrespect us, you will go in our naughty list. We want this place to be welcoming to everyone - Especially the staff that helps keep the site running.

Do not discriminate Everyone is different. No one shall be discriminated based on race, age, gender, religion or whether they are homosexual, bisexual or heterosexual. Do not discriminate if someone is less experienced than you are. Instead, politely give suggestions to help a person get better in trying to roleplay.

Try to be literate It helps gives the roleplay depth and constant one-liners are dull and provide no such input. Also, we want to understand what you are trying to say instead of having to feel like we are trying to solve a puzzle.

You're not a god No godmodding i.e no auto-dodges or auto-hits. This is a place to roleplay your character, have them grow, and to have fun. It's not fun to always be dodging and hitting. Its not fun for your character to remain stagnant. In order to allow your character to flourish, allow it struggle as it progresses through the Academy.

No double posting Do not double post. However, if you are in a group and the current poster hasn't posted in 72 hours without a legitimate reason, the group may carry on and the skipped will have to catch up. It is recommended if you message the person yourself to see if they are going to post, or, if requested, a staff member could message/email the poster a notification.

No metagaming This refers to taking outside information and having your character instantly know it. If they don't know it prior, then they don't know it. Its unrealistic and a bore if someone acts all-knowing. It would be nice to show that your character is learning new things when at Beacon Academy.

Dead means dead No revives, no come backs. They have to be a consented effort to kill off a character. However, please do think of your characters in the long run before deciding.

Third Person is recommended Posts can be in any perspective that is comfortable to you. However, please note that third-person is the more accepted form as it is easier to take in.

OMG NO CHAT SPEAK No shortcuts. We don't want 'lol' or 'omg' to pervade the forum. It is perfectly acceptable in the cb but try to be literate everywhere in this site.

Solo threads = multiple posts A solo thread may have multiple posts. It would not make sense to have one long 6k post as it may encourage the audience not to read. A little break here and there is always appreciated.

You have to sign up in order to use the chatbox! If only it wasn't this way, then life would be simpler. I understand that people could have residing questions before wanting to join a website, but it is just a forumotion perk which doesn't allow guests to join the chatbox.

No debating or arguing There shall not be any debating/arguing in the chat. Yes, venting your ideals is good, when appropriate. The chat is meant for fun and communication, not for drama. We want this place to feel like a place to have fun instead of feeling like being in the middle of a battlefield.

RESPECT There will be RESPECT in the chatbox. This cannot be stressed enough. If you feel you are one who can't follow this, don't bother showing up. If a person has told you that what you are doing makes them feel disrespected, RESPECT what they said and stop making them feel disrespected.

Advertising = NO Do not advertise in the chat box! We have an advertisement section for a reason. USE IT!

Be active and FRIENDLY We don't want to scare anyone away. Instead, we want to welcome all with a big potato cookie!

Do not assume the way things go around here Absolutely do not give false information in the chat box or state that something in the site is bad; especially if you are a staff member! A newcomer may think that it is not allowed. It has happened before, sadly.

Try to converse with everybody People are different and may not be well when they talk to others. Do not be rude by ignoring someone just because you are in a conversation of your own.
