[X]Auriaco Cantum [WIP]

Hello everyone!

It has been a while. I was hoping that I could make the site start up again by it's 1st birthday, but that didn't work out. Sorry for that.

We're moving! Instead of revamping the whole site, we are moving to a new one, this time on proboards. (I apologize in advance if you are trying to read a thread you participated in but found that it has been deleted) The new site is still under development. So, if you are interested and want to get more information on the site like the progress on that, just send a pm to me.

CHARACTER SHEET

Full Name: Auriaco Cantum (as per the Naming Rule set by Monty, his name translates to Orange Crow in Latin)
Nickname: Crow of Remorse (hates the nickname)

Physical:
Auriaco Cantum is a fairly tall individual. He appears to top off at a height of around 6 foot 4 inches. His eyes, and his hair, as well as the bird tail that peaks out from just above his pants, are a bright orange color.

His face is fairly sharp, having a pointed chin and a defined jawline. He has a scar that runs along the side of his face and another one that goes along his left eye. Because he lost his left eye in the battle where he lost his memories, he wears a black eye patch with a bright orange marking on it of his symbol, which is two blades crossed in the shape of an X behind a crow with it's wings spread.

His outfit usually consists of a long black trench coat, a dull orange pair of pants, brown combat boots, and a tight black vest over a white dress shirt. He usually keeps two of the buttons of his dress shirt open so he can move easily, and on the vest is a larger version of his emblem that is found on his eyepatch. He will usually keep his tonfas hidden behind his trench coat.

It seems that he may have a prosthetic leg, as he walks with a slight limp on his right side.

Weapon: Midnight Sonata: Two bladed tonfas combined with shotguns. The tonfas have a blade that extends along the length of the spine, as well as jutting out about 3 inches in the front, and 5 in the back. The blade is extendable and can also fold up against the tonfas for non-lethal attacks. Within the confines of the tonfa itself are 6 long chambers that can hold about 6 dust bullets each. These chambers connect to the barrel of the shotguns, and as they are multi-chambered, they usually contain different dust bullets for different effects.
Fighting Style: Close range and multiple styles of Martial Arts

Personality: Auriaco's personality seems to be a very solemn one. He seems to show signs of PTSD as he will rarely sleep and seems to always have bags under his eyes from his lack of sleep. When he does sleep, he has nightmares of a day he barely remembers, and frankly doesn't even want to remember. On his days off he enjoys walking around the city of Vale and jumping from bar to bar to bar. It seems that Auriaco is an alcoholic as well, seeing as how when he is off duty he will usually be found in some kind of bar until he is either kicked out or runs out of money. He has a dislike of the color Red as it reminds him of all the bloodshed he has seen in his life, as well as the day he doesn't consciously remember, but seems to know it deep down in his mind, as well as his heart.

Goals:

To remember his past.
To get over his mental problems.
To be able to find love.

Fears:

Auriaco fears being left alone, even though he is usually alone himself.
He also fears Grimm. An odd trait for someone who was once a hunter in training. But he has good reason to be afraid of them.
He fears that he may be overcome by his fears and his mental state, and that he may be locked up one day in an institution for the mentally unstable.

Bad Habits:

He has a habit of swearing like a sailor.
He will rarely show respect to those of a higher authority.
He seems to have a habit of messing with his coat, a sign of his PTSD.

Likes:

Auriaco appears to enjoy his job, an odd thing seeing as his job is not what he originally planned to do with his life.
He also enjoys being around other people, despite the fact he prefers to work alone.
It seems that he has a love for those younger than him, especially women.

Dislikes:

Auriaco dislikes being in a crowd. It can sometimes set off his PTSD.
He dislikes the fact that he is an amnesiac. He hates that he can't remember anything before waking up in the Beacon infirmary.
He has a dislike of the Beacon Headmaster.

History:
Childhood: Auriaco Cantum, having lost most of his memory, doesn't really remember much about his past. He knows from present experiences that he was treated badly as he is a faunus, but he doesn't remember much about his family. He has been told that his family was killed in a raid, and that they were part of the White Fang.

Teen years: As a teen, Auriaco seems to have been a bit of a trouble maker, much like he is today. He was a rouge character, and would run away from any orphanage they tried to stick him in, and, as a young teen, would sometimes be found hanging around Signal Academy. He doesn't really remember much, but he does remember that he was accepted into Signal by the time he was 14. He knows that while he was at Signal, he crafted his weapons, a pair of pure black tonfas that doubled as light machine guns.

Beacon Years: He doesn't really remember how he got into Beacon, or who his team mates were or even how their team was formed. What he does know is that he was the leader of said team, and the team was AMBR. What he does remember of his time at Beacon, is waking up in the hospital ward with all kinds of machines and gadgets attached to him, as well as having no feelings in his right leg. He looked around and saw that he was the only one in the room, other then a nurse who saw him awaken and immediately called in Ozpin and Goodwitch who told him the bad news. They told him that his entire team was wiped out in an exercise, and that he was the only survivor. They asked him if he wished to team up with a freshman team, but he declined the offer and was from then on known as the Survivor, a nickname he hated. He soon came to realize he remember nothing about his team mates, other then the fact he was the only male of the team, and that he was in a relationship with one of them. Sometimes when he closed his eyes, he could hear a faint female voice telling him that she loved him, and that he should continue living. He also started to have nightmares of the supposed exersice, and that his team had walked into an ambush. They were up against 20 Ursa, as well as a pack of Beowolves. His team was able to take out most of them, but the Beowolves turned out to be too much for them as they were tired from taking out the Ursa. Auriaco had suggested they fall back, but before they could even turn around, the Beowolves struck. His team quickly fell, getting slashed to bits as he was forced to watch. He was able to turn around, only to have a Beowolf pounce him and claw as his legs, relieving him of his right leg. He knew he was about to die, but as he blacked out, he swore he saw a pair of heeled legs running towards them. He always woke up from this dream drenched in sweat, and whenever he went to clean his face, he could feel tear lines across his cheeks.

Graduation and First Job: He spent another year at Beacon, and was able to graduate, but instead of choosing to become a Hunter, he quit the business and wallowed in his own self pity for half a year before he was confronted by someone from the police. They heard about how he was a top fighter and how he was a Beacon Graduate, as well as someone who survived a fight between 20 Ursa as well as a pack of Beowolves. Auriaco would nod as the officer spoke to him, telling him that this was the truth. The officer smiled at him and handed him a piece of paper that had a name on it. The officer told Auriaco that he would be paid handsomely if he could manage to take out this dangerous crime lord. Auriaco thought about it, and figuring he had nothing left to lose, agreed. The mission was easier then he was told. The crime lord had only a few henchman, and he was fairly weak compared to anything else Auriaco had fought. When he told the officer of his work, the officer told him he could make a killing in this kind of work and convinced Auriaco to become a Bounty Hunter of the Vale Police Department. He has spent his time doing many jobs, and has saved up enough money to retire five times over, but instead saves the money, using it to buy only the essentials and giving most of the money to either Beacon or Signal.
