Hello everyone!

It has been a while. I was hoping that I could make the site start up again by it's 1st birthday, but that didn't work out.  Sorry for that.

We're moving! Instead of revamping the whole site, we are moving to a new one, this time on proboards. (I apologize in advance if you are trying to read a thread you participated in but found that it has been deleted) The new site is still under development. So, if you are interested and want to get more information on the site like the progress on that, just send a pm to me.

If you are looking for a thread or any threads had been deleted, just send me a pm as well.

Description: The trademark skill of Yin Yuling, “The Silver Ghost”; When using Transience to block an attack, the incoming force of the blow is redirected around Yu, impacting against the next object, person or creature standing behind him rather than his own body, giving onlookers the impression that the strike passed through his body as if he were a ghost.  This ability is incredibly effective against attacks designed to inflict blunt force trauma or depend solely on their forward force, allowing the lancer to stop them with just his bare hands, but marginally less effective against blades as it doesn’t prevent him from being cut-- Since it removes all the force behind any cutting motion however, it does reduce the depth and seriousness of a wound.  Since a semblance can be channeled through a weapon as well though, this issue can be sidestepped by blocking with it instead.  Notably, it is completely ineffective against attacks or parts of attacks that do not depend on forward motion at all, such as burning, electrocution, frostbite, etc.
Advantages: Completely redirects incoming force on Yu’s body and attacks that rely on it; Capable of redirecting force of attacks into other enemies if they happen to be standing directly behind Yu; Stopping bullets with your hands/body looks hella cool
Disadvantages: Cost can be high when using Transience on incoming attacks buffed by Semblance/Aura; Ineffective against elemental/elemental parts of attacks; Attacks can be redirected into allies if they happen to be standing directly behind Yu

Effect: Self
Cost: Initial cost of 3; Upkeep of 1 per post after the initial use+1 per unit of added weight (such as another person)

Description: When using Linger, Yu actually redirects the force of gravity on his body, negating it and allowing him to basically float in place.  Practically, this is useful in a variety of situations, such as when preventing a fall to an untimely demise, staying out of an enemy’s reach or increasing his jump height by negating the effects of gravity before jumping.  Less practically, it can also be used to perform useless stunts like sitting in midair.  Notably, since this skill doesn’t actually provide any force, Yu can’t actually use it to move around once suspended in mid air except to turn it off and allow him to fall as normal again.  He can, however, use other tools or objects to do so.  
Advantages: Hover; Increased jump height
Disadvantages: Does not provide locomotion in and of itself, Only situationally useful for the most part
